- Born and raised in Springhill, Louisiana.  

- Graduated Springhill High School.

- Saw Springhill devastated when the paper mill shut down.

- Spent the teen years on a farm raising and processing cattle, hogs, and chickens, as well as a

    garden, for consumption.

- Raised and showed lots of hogs, a few cattle, and some chickens for 4H for several years.

- Fanatical deer hunter, especially bow hunting, from age 9 to this day. The entire extended Hogue

    family hunted together.

- Raised and trained coon dogs for many years and competed in competitive UKC coon hunting trials.

- Milked cows for Buddy Lacobee, Lacobee's Dairy Farm, for a couple years while in high school and

    trade school (8 day-a-week job!).

- Competed in Bull Riding in Rodeos in high school, only got sent to the hospital once: hooked in the

    face, bunch of stitches.

- Gave up a scholarship to LSU Baton Rouge, chose to go to Trade School instead (welding).

- Got a welding diploma from Northwest LA VoTech (Minden).

- Helped build and maintain numerous dirt track race cars; pit crewed for several.

- Worked construction, shutdowns, and mill maintenance as a welder.

- Decided to go to college in '91: LA Tech, graduated in 3 yrs, 3.7 GPA.

- Went to Mississippi State Graduate School: Master's in Genetics, did not finish, figured out it is was

    not what I wanted.

- Took a job with LA Tech- Farm/Ranch Manager, after a couple years, I was sitting on a horse one day
    moving cows in the rain, it was about 30 degrees; realized that childhood dream (be a cowboy) had
    come true and I was the most miserable I had ever been in my entire life (be careful what you dream
    of!).

- Had a pet Pot Bellied Pig named "Pig" for a few years.

- Competed several years in 3D Archery Competitions, won and placed in numerous tournaments.

- Opened a Pro Archery Shop in Ruston Outlaw Archery: business failed after only a few years.

- 2001, went to LSUS to get MBA; started teaching an Entrepreneurship class while in graduate school,

     been there ever since.

- Filed three patents.    Currently working on the 4th and 5th.

- Started learning to dance with Wife (Robin) in '01, still learning but have come a long way.

    Have learned that most DJs don't know that there is a giant difference between a good song and a

    good dance song.   Wayne & Robin compiled a list of some of the best DANCE songs.

- Proficient welder/fabricator and finish carpenter (see Wayne in his most comfortable place...
    the shop!).

- Holder of United States Patent #7,341,506 (see the official copy on the USPTO website).
